CELLULITE TREATMENT

Cellulite consists of the dimpled appearance of skin caused by fat deposits that are just beneath the skin. It generally appears on skin in the abdomen, lower limbs, and pelvic region. Most often, cellulite manifests itself in adult life on many areas of the body.

Cellulite is located at the subcutaneous fatty layer. There are 3 different grades of cellulite:

Grade 1 classification sees no clinical symptoms, but a microscopic examination of cells from the area detects underlying anatomical changes.

Grade 2 cellulite requires the skin to show pallor (pastiness), be lower temperature, and have decreased elasticity in addition to anatomical changes noted by microscopic examinations.

Grade 3 cellulite has visible roughness of the skin (like an orange peel) along with all grade 2 signs.

If you think you have some form of cellulite, we at Advantage Laser Clinic can help starting with a complimentary consultation, followed by carboxytherapy and the Spa RF cellulite treatment for great results.

Radiofrequency Cellulite Treatment

Spa RF is a body treatment system that makes a dream come true: losing inches without dieting or exercise. Spa RF offers a technological breakthrough that uses advanced deep-heat energy for body contouring, reducing cellulite, and skin tightening. Spa RF helps to flatten the stomach, slim thighs and "lovehandles" and tone upper arms.

Some important highlights of the procedure include:

Safe for all ages and skin types – Spa RF treats all ethnicities and skin types and can be used all year round. Results are visible after only a few sessions.

Virtually Painless - IN-Motion technology with cooled RF tip represents a breakthrough in client comfort, speed of treatment and effective results. It provides gradual heating to the target therapeutic temperature and superior epidermal preservation to minimize risk of injury or pain. The comfortable treatment allow customer to return immediately to their daily schedules, with no downtime whatsoever.

Treatment Comfort & Intervals- Sessions are comfortable quick and virtually pain-free. There is no recovery needed. Treatment intervals are approximately 10 days to 2 weeks apart.

Spa RF takes conventional radiofrequency technology a step further to produce very consistent results with its superior technology. The radiofrequency energy heats the dermis, the inner layer of the skin. During this process, this targeted energy helps reorganize the cells and stimulates them to release toxins, drain retained fluids and produce new collagen.

The Spa RF breakthrough technology gradually heats the layers of skin to tighten and recontour collagen (for smooth, youthful appearance) and connective tissue both on the surface and deep within the skin.

Before treatment:
Collagen fibers are scattered, with excess fluid and fat cells.

During treatment:
Deep dermal heat is applied through the hand piece with a sweeping motion.

After treatment:
Collagen fibers contract and multiply for a firmer, tighter appearance.

Spa RF is a non-invasive procedure that tightens and shapes the skin by promoting collagen production. Prior to treatment, baby oil is applied to the area the client wishes to treat, the hand piece is then passed over the skin multiple times heating up the skin, causing the area to appear red and feel warm. The temperature gauge is applied to the skin often throughout the treatment so we are always aware of the amount of heat we are delivering into the dermis. Radiofrequency waves penetrate the subcutaneous tissue, allowing the water molecules to rotate at a speed of 40 million times per second. The friction causes the fat cells to compress; the cells are then pushed towards the lymph nodes. The lymph nodes are drained through natural activity of the body and drainage is improved by a healthy diet and regular exercise.

Carboxytherapy Cellulite Treatment

Carboxytherapy is a unique procedure offered at Advantage Laser Clinic which is an injection of C02 gas below the skin with the use of a 30.5 gauge mesotherapy needle. The treatment is virtually painless and quick. There is no downtime with this procedure.

Carboxytherapy is used for the treatment of cellulite and may be as well for fat reduction. Carboxytherapy works as follows; it improves circulation at the injection site by forcing red bloods cells to release oxygen and pick up C02 to be eliminated by the body. This process of oxygenating the area of concern allows for improved healing by nourishing the skin, in turn building and remodelling collagen and elastin in the area which ultimately smooths out cellulite. This is a natural reponse from the body. The process leaves the skin tighter, brighter and smoother. This treatment works well with the application of the SpaRF as it heats the subdermal layers of the skin, mechanically smoothing out cellulite as well. Combination therapy gaurantees lasting results.

Fat cells are very sensitive to C02 gas. The process weakens and destroys fat cells which results in fewer fat cells for body contouring. This treatment is often combined with B12 injections and cellulite treatment for fat reduction.

Carboxytherapy started in France and has been widely used for over 70 years with no major side effects. Its aesthetic use is now commonplace in Europe and is now gaining popularity in North America. Advantage Laser Clinic is a leading provider of carboxytherapy in North America.

Advantage Laser Clinic offers well-priced, safe carboxytherapy treatments administered by a nurse. People spend thousands of dollars on expensive treatments for cellulite and fat reduction. Make a change and try carboxytherapy! It really works!

Although Carboxytherapy is effective in of itself, we do recommend combination therapy for long lasting results. Muliple treatments are required for best results. All laser and injectable treatments at Advantage Laser Clinic are performed by nurses to ensure optimal patient safety and efficacy. Some of the causes of cellulite may include the following:

Hormonal factors: It is probable that hormones do play a factor in the formation of cellulite. Estrogen is responsible for the development of fat cells mainly around the breasts, thighs and buttocks. Progesterone can cause fluid retention, poor circulation, weight gain and in turn the development of cellulite.

Genetics: Genes may predispose an individual to certain characteristics linked with cellulite. Some people are born with more fat cells, gender (females are more likely to develop cellulite), weak metabolism, circulatory insufficiency, fragile lymphatic vessels or poor circulation, etc.

Diet: Although individuals of any shape or size could have cellulite, people who eat a lot of fattening foods, carbohydrates, or salt are likely to have greater amounts of cellulite.

Smoking: Nicotine found in cigarettes is a vasoconstrictor which means it can cause the constriction of blood vessels reducing microcirculation. Smoke is very damaging to capillary walls, which causes inflammation.

Clothing: Tight elastic clothing around the waste or across the buttocks (limiting blood flow) may contribute to the creation of cellulite.
